How can we help?
ArcRoute is made by one person, who rides. There is no ticket queue and no support bot. Mail lands in a real inbox and gets a real reply. Most answers are below; the rest is one email away.
Getting started
Where do I get ArcRoute?
Coming soon to the App Store, for iPhone. Want to ride it before everyone else? Write to petr@arcroute.app and your first year is half price. Once it is out, the first seven days are free; after that it is a monthly or annual subscription, and you cancel in Settings like any other.
Which iPhone do I need?
ArcRoute needs iOS 26.4 or later, so any iPhone that can run iOS 26 will do. Apple decides which models that covers, and the App Store listing names them. It is a recent baseline, so older iPhones are not supported. Settings → General → Software Update tells you where your phone is, and whether an update is waiting.
Do I need an account?
Yes. ArcRoute uses Sign in with Apple, so there is no separate password to invent. You can use Apple’s Hide My Email relay if you prefer not to share your real address. The account is what keeps your rides and heatmap synced across devices.
Is there an Android version?
No. ArcRoute is built natively for iPhone and there is no Android version planned right now. If that changes, it will be announced here first.
Planning and riding
Does it work without a signal?
Partly. Planning a new route needs a connection, because routing is computed on ArcRoute’s own routing server. A saved ride replays from data stored on your phone, so the line you are following and the spoken directions both survive a dead signal. The map underneath can only draw tiles your phone already loaded, though, and re-routing around a missed turn needs the server. Downloadable offline maps are not there yet.
Does it speak directions out loud?
Yes, in English and Czech. Spoken turn-by-turn is built for the phone-in-pocket rider: helmet speakers over Bluetooth, screen locked, app in the background. It is generated on the phone, so it works offline exactly as far as a saved ride does; only recalculating a route needs the network. Rerouting stays quiet: one neutral “recalculating”, then the new first turn.
Can I import a GPX route?
Yes. Import a .gpx file from Mapy.cz, Komoot, a GPS unit or a ride recorded on another device, and ArcRoute turns it into a ride you can preview, save and navigate with full guidance. Imported routes stay out of your heatmap, because a file is not evidence you rode it.
Where does it route?
Twelve regions, scored for curvature end to end: Czechia, Slovakia, Austria, Poland and Germany whole, then Switzerland, Slovenia and Liechtenstein, then northern Italy and the French Alps. The map on the home page is drawn from that data. Not riding somewhere on the list? Say which country or area on the contact page and it goes on the list.
Why not just use Google or Apple Maps?
Because they are built to end the journey. A general maps app picks the fastest road, which on a motorcycle means the motorway; it cannot be told to prefer bends, and it forgets the ride the moment you arrive. ArcRoute routes by how good the road is, on a slider from direct to wild, speaks the turns into a helmet, and keeps every ride you took. For getting to work on time, keep your maps app.
Can I use it for cars, bicycles or hiking?
Nothing stops you, but every decision in ArcRoute is made for motorcycles: the routing bias toward curves, the glanceable navigation screen, the bar-mount-first layout. A car driver would find it takes the scenic long way for no reason. That is the point.
Account and data
What data does ArcRoute collect?
What the app needs to work: your rides, planned routes and precise location while you are navigating or recording, including in the background during an active ride. Your rides and heatmap are yours; they are never sold and never used for third-party advertising. The Privacy Notice lists every provider involved.
How do I delete my account or my rides?
Directly in the app, any time: a ride from the Rides tab, the whole account from Profile. Export anything you want to keep first. For a data access, correction or deletion request by email, write to support@arcroute.app; the Privacy Notice has the full detail on what is kept and for how long.
Billing
What does ArcRoute cost?
ArcRoute is a subscription; there is no permanently free tier. ArcRoute Pro comes as an auto-renewing monthly or annual plan billed through the App Store, and eligible new subscribers get a seven-day free trial. Apple decides trial eligibility and shows the exact price for your country before you confirm anything; the prices on the home page are Apple’s own, VAT included.
How do I cancel or get a refund?
Cancel in Settings → your name → Subscriptions, like any App Store subscription; you keep access to the end of the period you paid for. Refunds are Apple’s to decide; request one at reportaproblem.apple.com. ArcRoute cannot see your payment details and cannot issue a refund itself.
Reporting a problem
Include what you can of this and a fix does not need three rounds of questions:
- What happened. And what you expected instead.
- When. Roughly the date and time, so it can be matched to a ride.
- Your phone. iPhone model and iOS version (Settings → General → About).
- Where. If it is a routing or navigation problem, a road name or a rough area is enough.
- A screenshot. Or a screen recording, if the problem is something you can see.
